Entry #10 The Finale....
Hello friends, family, teacher, NFL fans, Ben&H,
I write tonight in a somber tone, knowing this will likely be the last Blog about Nothin. We always wish highs could last forever, but just like all good things in life, they must come to an end. The football season is not over, but the semester has come to an end, and sadly, I have lost the incentive to carry this journey on.
Anyways lets chat FOOTBALL
Let's be real, the Eagles are sitting on a goldmine of talent, but their offensive strategy is like watching paint dry. Short crosses and drags on 3rd and long might fool the weaker defenses, but against powerhouses like San Francisco and Dallas in the last couple of weeks, it's been a total disaster. The predictability of the Philly offense should have fans biting their nails. Time for a wake-up call in the playbook!. Otherwise Its gonna get real ugly real fast.
The current MVP frontrunner, as per Vegas and the Fanduel sports book, is Dak Prescott, closely followed by Brock Purdy. While both have showcased impressive performances this season, my unbiased take points to Lamar or Tyreek for the MVP honor.
Lamar consistently carries the Ravens week after week, demonstrating dominance both on the ground and in the air. His comfort and prowess with his body are truly unparalleled and make for a remarkable spectacle on the field.
Now, let's talk about Cheetah Tyreek Hill. There's simply no one who impacts games quite like him. Tyreek's presence on the field dictates the Dolphins' offensive strategy week in and week out. A case in point is the recent game where the lackluster Titans clinched a victory while Tyreek Hill was bravely pushing through the match with an injury. It's a testament to his game-changing influence. And really he is the MOST valuable player on the field at any given time.
My last topic of choice will just be a short rant. If the Bears move on from Justin Fields, I think I will have to retire as a fan of them. Looking at mock drafts just makes me sick. Seeing these NFL noobs constantly putting Caleb Williams at #1 with Chicago is just disturbing and makes no sense in my head.
When on the field, Justin has had a higher passer rating than Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence, a higher touchdown-to-interception ratio than Mahomes and Josh Allen, and has averaged more rushing yards per game than Jalen Hurts and my MVP pick Lamar Jackson. All I'm saying is, trust the kid and build around him. Control the draft, acquire some talent, and let's talk again next year if he continues to struggle.
One last thing – the Super Bowl is gonna be 9ers vs. Ravens(2013 all over again). And let me tell you, the 9ers are probably gonna blow them out.
It's been an absolute pleasure talking football with you over these past few months. I wish you all the best, have a fantastic holiday season, enjoy yourselves, and who knows, maybe I'll be back due to some peer pressure. In the meantime... Watch some FOOTBALL!!
I'm not much of a football person but some of my friends have started to keep up with it more. It's entertaining to see them excited about their teams, and I see that even more in you through your blogs. Hope your semester was fun and your football viewing experience was even better.
